Rendierjagerspad – An Immersive Prehistoric Walk in Zonhoven
The Rendierjagerspad brings 11,000 years of history to life with an audio-narrated walking trail in Zonhoven. Built to inform, inspire and guide visitors through prehistoric landscapes.
Project Summary
Rendierjagerspad is a 3 km walking trail through the De Teut nature reserve in Zonhoven, Belgium. It lets visitors explore prehistoric life from Ice Age reindeer hunters to Neolithic farmers through audio stories and immersive trail elements.
The website serves as a digital extension of the physical trail, offering visitors access to background info, audio narration, maps, accessibility features, and historical insights.
We designed and implemented the website in Drupal, balancing storytelling, performance, and mobile usability.
